Every time I play with a Conid at The London Pen show, I hear harps and my credit card trying to bury itself deeper into my wallet . . .

I believe Conid added a subliminal message to their product to entice us to purchase their beautiful pens.

Nothing subliminal about this. This, this is blatant . . .

Frank C brought his over and let me doodle. It was WOW.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Ha! Don't thank me, Tas, thank Francis (fountainbel) - he's the genius behind the wonderful pens of CONID. Yes, I'm a huge fan.

Does anybody know who makes this pen? I bought it at Daiso this afternoon, but obviously it's not made by them. The package says "Manufactured for Daiso". It's made in China and has a nib marked "Iridium"

Edited to add: Hm. Photo link not working. I should mention that I searched for Daiso on the forum and the pics that I found were not of this pen. My understanding is that the stock they carry changes frequently.

2nd addition: I did some googling. it's the pen pictured in this blog post:

I came into another "Oh, my!" pen. Paul Wirt ringtop lever fill. It's not only very clean, but it writes beautifully. No, I don't have a writing sample... B)

Wow the Jade colour is so uniform.

And is that a Pink Ripple printed on the letterhead?

The intact details on the chasing is amazing! And of course the wide wide band is beautifully adorned.

Wow, that shading is awesome!

I have a feeling it's more about the nib, though. A regular TWSBI wouldn't do that..

Ah, but your taste in music is impeccable. That will be sung at my funeral.

I gave that pen as a thank you gift to my groomsmen when I married back in 1980. I have no idea whether any of those pens are still in use. I didn't like the style at all, but it was what was available and affordable at the time.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.
