:D - Great analogy! It is a big trumpet, I am not as familiar with desk pens, I have wondered if this is the correct pen and base...If it is thats a plus, if not I still like the combination.

I believe this is a base for a Wahl-Eversharp desk pen.

It was originally a blue extra fine 02 model Preppy, but I put in an 03 nib from a Plaisir into it, and the 02 nib into the Plaisir for a durable pen I can actually carry around.

I used nail polish (autumn spice scented polish, at that), and washi tape on the end of the cap and grip so the cap, which had been cracked, would snap back on. The roll-stopper is made of jewelry wire, and I used more washi tape at the top to keep it in place. The clip shattered to bits, unfortunately. I thought of using polymorph plastic to make a new clip perhaps. But I like it as is for now. :D

I hadn't heard of Sugru before until your post. Nice! Something else worth checking out!

Love your GIF. Nicely played. Watched that film on a long international flight, mostly because I was tired and thought it would be disposable. Loved it.

Thank you!

I always want it to look like it was done with a ruler or something, but I think I'll never be satisfied. Unless I actually use a ruler  Maybe not even then...

Troy, yes it does! And you were missed.

The trumpet looks so huge on this pen stand, it needs a Victor Dog to accompany it! :D

I'm sorry, but it looks like you wrote "ROTRING boob" to my gutter mind today.

Don't feel bad--that's exactly what I saw when I first looked at it. Guess we're normal (if anyone in this group can be considered normal).

This pen is huge. It has a wet, ebonite feed. I didn't care for the stock nib, so I swapped in the Goulet Broad, and it was magic. I think the pen is semi vintage. It was covered in stinky moss when I opened it. It took a lot of cleaning to get it working.

Looking sharp!

I have a 1.9mm on my Lamy Copper Orange. It is a huge pen, not necessarily good for lots of writing, unless you're doing calligraphy, but it definitely makes a bold statement for short notes. And that's a very bold ink, as well. Nice combo!

Thanks masterguns and Andrew, the nib's edge is really quite sharp so I had to slow down and make sure I had the right angle on the paper. Which is a good practice for me.
