Don't Just Tell Us About The Pen You're Using, *show* Us! - 2015

Claudia, I love this combo too!

Thank you sooo much, both of you!

Your post is most appreciated both your ink choice & quotation. After waiting for what seemed like forever (it wasn't BUT when you FINALLY order a pen after deciding I think it should teleport itself!) I received a white Tortoise today & chose this SAME ink! I had a bunch of similar BUT I remembered this one's shading & it sealed the deal. I have kept the same ink in a brown tortoise since receipt & may decide this one is a "dedicated" color as well.

A client just back from holidays in Thaïland brought me a present : on a market, he saw that Montblanc Greta Garbo and remembered I was a Fountain pen addict so he bought it for me .... He told me that they had plenty of Montblanc pens (and watches) at a near to zero price ....

I didn't test it yet but I will soon ..... And, yes, you guessed it .... It's a cheap fake .....

Thier,

What is that strange writing implement behind the pen? It might catch on.

Someone seems to have carefully scribed the letters of the alphabet onto the square mosaics.

In the bottom left, it seems to have a special button for the Fountain [Pen] Network, although the "P" has been carelessly omitted. Is this a new piece of FPN branding?

David.

That's amazing ink! I've got to look for that one. Anyone have a source let me know.

For Kingdom Note inks... your best bet is Atsu (Cool_Japan in eBay)... I believe is $40 shipped to your door. Drop him an email.

Or... Vannes (if they have it in stock).. I will recommend Atsu

I restored my first vintage pen, and I can't stop using it! It's a late 20's or early 30's Ambassador/J. Harris pen, and apart from that I don't know much about it. It has a 'Warranted 14KT' nib, which is really nice, since these were cheaper pens in the day. It was sitting on my stepfather's desk for as long as I can remember, and I decided to fix it up and make it usable!

Just received this beautiful pen from Shawn Newton. I did stop writing with it to sleep, but it was hard to do.

A sunny, warm winter weekend is nice to catch up on correspondence, or walk around the garden and admire the flower buds already starting to develop, preparing for springtime to come. My lovely zen moment.

Here are two pens that I have received yesterday:

First - De La Rue Onoto The Pen No 6233 with a gorgeous fine flexible nib

add second - blue-black marble Conway-Stewart 388 with medium nib

and some writing samples (in Polish, but is's only pens and inks description)

CS was filled with unknown, grey-blue ink, very nice.

Sorry for the poor quality of photos. I can't afford a better camera, I spend all my money on pens ;)

I love your taste in pens. This is another one that I've had my eye on for a while. I've read some poor reviews. How do you like it?

Thanks! ITs quite a nice pen. I like the copper barrel and cap, as well as the smooth nib. I only wish the section was a bit thicker and made of better quality material.
