SNAK, the only way you're going to know what it looks like after 10 or 20 years is to hurry and get one so you start the clock running. :)

David has a point. You know he makes sense. Go on . . . "push the button Max" !

I only have three pens inked at the moment, a Kaweco AL Sport in stonewashed blue and BB nib, a Delta 500 with Fusion stub nib, and this Nakaya:

Happy Friday everyone!

Wow. I remember you posting photos of this pen when you had it filled with Stipula Green Musk. What a beauty . . .

I just put together a desk pen set for myself: A Parker 21/51/45 base made of Brazilian green onyx, and a Pilot Mokume (wood pattern resin) EF pen. I am in love!

Beautiful pen! I love good old warm wood, and this looks very much like the "real thing" even if it is resin.

gorgeous pen, I'm a sucker for desk pens, and I love that off-set ball on the parker base. I've not see that before.

Love it! How does the pen write? First I've heard of that one.

A bit of the Blue Hour Twilight Blue on Tomoe River

Wow the shading from this ink is fabulous. And the close up of Tomoe River paper is nice! It's surprising how bumpy it looks when you think about how smoothly the nib glides over this paper! Before I read your comment I thought it was on some cold pressed watercolour paper or something.

Just got my first vintage pen as a shared birthday gift by me, for my girlfriend and I, and I just can't stop using it! Also, props to J. Herbin for making this wonderful ink!

Congratulations on your first vintage pen! A vintage Conway Stewart is a great one, I love mine a lot. I hope you and your girlfriend will enjoy it.

Oh you people are such enablers.

With vintage pens, when I find the right pen with the right nib, it’s now or never so I find it easier to push the button. But with Nakaya pens I have been looking at John’s and Nakaya’s websites on and off for a long time now in my “just browsing at the moment” mode. And I usually get distracted by another now or never purchase and the Nakaya pen gets put on the back burner.

Maybe I should set a date like anniversary or birthday, and just do it. That way I won’t feel guilty thinking, “oh I just made another impulse purchase last week so I shouldn’t get this Nakaya just now”. BTW, the impulse purchase last week was just a hypothetical example, it didn’t happen in reality, and I don’t feel guilty, and they won’t arrive in about 2 weeks time.

I owe my most extravagant purchase to some of the gurus on this wonderful forum. I lost sleep prior to pushing the button but have never regretted it for even a moment since.

I look forward to hypothetically seeing your hypothetical purchases :)

I am using the Wality 70 AM

I have reviewed it here in detail : LINK

Those are some attractive pens. And is that your handwriting? It is also very nice; I only wish that I could write half as well. I know, practice, practice, practice, . . . .

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Beautiful pen! I love good old warm wood, and this looks very much like the "real thing" even if it is resin.

The resin even feels soft and warm--it's not slick or glossy at all, and gives a good finger grip--as if they were attempting to replicate the real thing. :)

Love it! How does the pen write? First I've heard of that one.

The base is a "Magnetix" base, so the ball attaches to the strong magnet and you can position it freely. You can even pop it off easily by rocking it forward toward the stem of the flute/cap for cleaning. The pen is very smooth and has a very fine line, as can be expected from Pilot pens. I found this color/pattern on eBay doing a general search for desk pens! Only $22, and it arrived within a week from Japan. I'm more than a little infatuated, over here!

perfaddict - You have too many pens thats why! I actually went into my name button, then "my settings" then into "manage attachments" and deleted all that I uploaded to have 100% free space. Upload was easier than what I was doing... TMR

No, the answer to too many pens is that perfaddict needs to avail themselves of my non-profit, charitable service where I agree to take the excess pens off of perfaddict's hands. I'm so concerned to help those with this problem that I even agree to pay postage to speed relief in their time of need.

I'm working on my first public interest tv spot to help all those afflicted with "Fountain Pen Collection Inflammation Syndrom." (aka FoPCIS) and raise awareness of the issue, and the service I offer to help.

But I'm just selfless like that. If any one of you are suffering from this rare (at least 'round these parts) disease, contact me and I'll be willing to help. You're attachments will free up, your sight will return to normal, your fingers will no longer be funny colors, and you'll be able to look people in the eyes (rather than look at what's in their hands or shirt pockets) and proudly say, "I've beaten FoPCIS."

Since everything seems to have a different colored ribbon, I'm going to design a white ribbon with ink stains on it, to remind us of the pain and suffering of FoPCIS sufferers.

So, I encourage all of you to look deep in your pen cases/chests/warehouses, and recognize your problem. I can help.

****possessively holding my few pens closer****

Actually you are all right :D but what can i do. I guess i will have to use the upload function piecemeal, as i would not want denuded prior posts.

I wasn't expecting to see that amount of texture. But as this was only a little 5x5 mm square, I had to go pretty close. I wish I could go even closer :D
