perfaddict - You have too many pens thats why! I actually went into my name button, then "my settings" then into "manage attachments" and deleted all that I uploaded to have 100% free space. Upload was easier than what I was doing... TMR

No, the answer to too many pens is that perfaddict needs to avail themselves of my non-profit, charitable service where I agree to take the excess pens off of perfaddict's hands. I'm so concerned to help those with this problem that I even agree to pay postage to speed relief in their time of need.

I'm working on my first public interest tv spot to help all those afflicted with "Fountain Pen Collection Inflammation Syndrom." (aka FoPCIS) and raise awareness of the issue, and the service I offer to help.

But I'm just selfless like that. If any one of you are suffering from this rare (at least 'round these parts) disease, contact me and I'll be willing to help. You're attachments will free up, your sight will return to normal, your fingers will no longer be funny colors, and you'll be able to look people in the eyes (rather than look at what's in their hands or shirt pockets) and proudly say, "I've beaten FoPCIS."

Since everything seems to have a different colored ribbon, I'm going to design a white ribbon with ink stains on it, to remind us of the pain and suffering of FoPCIS sufferers.

So, I encourage all of you to look deep in your pen cases/chests/warehouses, and recognize your problem. I can help.

That means that all those posts where you posted them are now denuded......

Very noble cause.

Houston, I'm not Amber, but I did do a pink ink drinking Yink post a few weeks ago. If you mean my drawing, that just made my day! My heart went BuBom, and skipped a beat, and then I had big smile on my face. Thanks!

Your Nakaya Sumiko Skull is so grotesque and so beautiful at the same time! Never seen anything like it. And a nibmeister will have a field day with such a big blobby tipping material to play with.

The nib or the skull?

I only have three pens inked at the moment, a Kaweco AL Sport in stonewashed blue and BB nib, a Delta 500 with Fusion stub nib, and this Nakaya:

dcpritch, gorgeous pen, ink and writing. A perfect example of why this is such a popular thread.

Thanks!

It's my very favourite thread, along with "Stub of the day". I always look forward to the next postings.

I just put together a desk pen set for myself: A Parker 21/51/45 base made of Brazilian green onyx, and a Pilot Mokume (wood pattern resin) EF pen. I am in love!

Just got my first vintage pen as a shared birthday gift by me, for my girlfriend and I, and I just can't stop using it! Also, props to J. Herbin for making this wonderful ink!

SNAK - Love that thirsty little pen!

David - At first I thought SNAKS post was one of yours! I agree the nib is gorgeous.

Thanks Troy, it really is a thirsty pen. I think I have size 12 or 13 sac in it, so maybe I should try and see if a larger size sac may fit to increase ink capacity.

Houston - That pen gives me chills up my spine! :lticaptd:

One of my favorite vintage Watermans ever. There's just something about those tiny nibs and the nickel hardware—the plainness of it all—that does it for me.

Gorgeous 51V's mhphoto, and your Copperplate is beautiful!

When you have two of the same thing, what do you call each of them? The "minty 51v" and "less minty 51"? Or 51V-1 and 51V-2? I have a habit of writing the name of pen (and nib installed if swappable nibs) and ink for each time I change the pen when I write my journal, and it could be every paragraph. So I have quick easy nicknames for all of my pens. How do you tell yours apart?

Pilot 823.

I love plunger pens! What ink do you have in it at the moment? Something purply? Just guessing from the nib creep colour. :)

Breathtaking urushi colour. I have always wondered what the tamenuri pens will look like after 10, 20 years when the colours develop more? I have read people talking about the aging and maturing of colours and the layer underneath coming through more, but it would be interesting to see some photo examples of these pens after 10 years of regular use.

I have been going back and forth on a piccolo for it seems forever. Your beautiful example doesn't help me stay strong, though! ;)
