Really? I hadn't heard that Montblanc was one of the affected inks. Well, in any case, I always add Phenol to any new ink that comes in the house, so I should be good! We can try an CRV if you want...

I have a bottle of it back in China. There's SITB in it. It's quite a common problem when this ink was first released. Hopefully they have a "corrected" version now.

I also received a sample of it yesterday. Still haven't opened it yet but it looks ok.

I only have cartridges of MB GY, most likely older stock since I got the first two packs before the re-release and got the additional packs from the same seller. I was looking at the open pack the other day and noticed some little globules of something in two of them. I'll probably use them anyway as I'm only using it in one pen.

The color is nice enough, though more orange than yellow. More orange than gold, too, to my eye, or is this what people consider 'gold'? It does have nice golden sheen, which looks much better here than it does on the Pink.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

And now for some sparklers. de Atramentis Apricot with golden lustre dust, de Atramentis Whiskey Brown with bronze (?) sparkles, and Diamine's Golden Sands:

Halloween, these are great. Thank you.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I hate to sound disappointed, but I ordered what looked to be an exciting ink, Robert Oster's "NG Special '16". It's the kind of color that I can't seem to get enough of. But unfortunately, it is very nearly identical to Noodler's Apache Sunset. I love the color, but I was hoping for something a little more distinct. Oh well.

The swabs look the same, but the writing appears different. Is that just the scan?

You'll see! Two different inks, and two different cards. Any similarity is purely due to the similarity in the inks!

A great find! The Bungubox Ebisu Gold. Wet, it seems a bit too green, but then it dries down to a wonderfully warm gold color. Very pleased!

Thought you might like that one. Looks similar to the kinds of things you do!

Yours is prettier. You have a great eye for balance and color.

A new addition: Akkerman's Frans Hals Oud Bruin (old brown). It's a very appealing golden brown, and the closest relatives I have on my desk are Bungubox's Ebisu Gold (lighter) and Robert Oster's Gold Antiqua (very close!).
