Inky T O D - Color Swatches - Ambers, Yellows And Golds - Please Post Your Pictures And Tell Us Your Thoughts

Sorry I ditched my Epson printer so I can't participate but it wouldn't scan anymore because it said the cartridge was empty.

I got Sailor Kobe Arima Amber from cool-japan a couple months ago. It's not exciting in the least and sometimes hard to start which is exciting in a bad way. Light yellowy/orangey brown, not much shading, no sheen, no saturation to rave about. Looks to be quite the same color as that Edelstein Amber above. Used it in a Shawn Newton Townsend with an M nib then switched to Yamadori.

A few more items for the thread: Amber (Pelikan Edelstein), Inti (L'Artisan Pastellier), and another version of Helianthus (Rhorer & Klingner).

I apologize for the scans --my scanner just cannot seem to capture the right shade/tint, and my skills on Photoshop are limited...

I love your swatches --they really capture the complexity of the inks. And they also remind me of Jackson Pollock, but that's another story... ;)

Thanks folks!!!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Your writing (and the great name) are what make that ink exceptional.

Fun with gold inks with gold lustre dust added. A drawing based on a Mabie Todd ad from the 1920s.

Sadly I only use such colours to mix with as I find them really difficult to read.

http://www.taskyprianou.com/fpn_noodlers_apache_sunset_swatch.jpg

NOODLER'S APACHE SUNSET - Incredible shading properties.

http://www.taskyprianou.com/fpn_rk_helianthus_swatch.jpg

ROHRER & KLINGNER HELIANTHUS - A lovely bright warm yellow. A few drops or 0.5ml will add tons of warmth to an otherwise "dull" mix.

I'm loving this ink.

Great artwork and I love the colors. I'm too intimidated by the sketches to attempt to post anything!

Remember most of us can't draw like Tas and Halloween. I can barely make the little pacman ghosts.

I like this ink a lot. But I found it just a touch too light, so I added just a touch of Diamine pumpkin, and now it's a gorgeous, richer EGG YOLK color! I'll post a photo tomorrow...
