Yes RMN, that's where the 'Old Boy' has been! Mind you this Fairy series of designs has been 'in the pipeline' for a very long time actually! [The overlays were actually languishing in the safe for a very long time!] It was one of those strange things whereby I had made them, and then I got involved in another project, so I put them away for 'safe-keeping', and then it was quite a while later when I 're-discovered' them!

At this moment in time, I am in the process of getting everything ready to go up to Portobello. I have very little idea how busy I am likely to be today, but I will have to wait and see what happens.

It's nice to see this thread re-immerge again after a period of inactivity.

Whilst I realise that I am a confirmed anachronism, does anyone else think that it is a bit odd, that having 'signed-in' before being able to post a response on here earlier this morning, then I was asked to 'sign-in' again just now?

It just seems to be rather over-enthusiastic for the sake of 'Security'!

Just so's I can see them on this page....

Here's a teaser for you all... a new collection of Simpoles coming soon! Each barrel design features a delightful little faerie within the vines and leaves, some are very obvious, some a little harder to spot.

Perhaps Henry can tell us more about his inspiration for these designs.

Well, I've always wanted a fairy at the bottom of the garden...and if it comes with a stub...

The stub nib shouldn't be a problem Ghost Plane.

Now you have to close which fairy you want!

So which fairies will there be? I suppose the Tooth-faerie isn't one of them... :D

Henry, gorgeous work as always. You never let us down!

What pen are these on?

Sorry Tenney, I've been rather busy over the past few days.

The base pens that I use, to put my overlays on, are all made by a very good friend of mine down in the West Country, this is true right across the board, with the exception of the Simpini pens, that I did as a joint effort, with Bruno Corsini a while ago.

For the sake of simplicity, I suppose one could call them Henry's 'base-pens!'

My daughter has just seen the photograph of the fairy pens. You have another fan, Truffle.

Dearest billydo...could you tease us a bit more with some individual shots of these wee folk? I'd like to pick which faerie is to whet my appetite.... ;)

Yes, perhaps a view of the silverwork still in it's flat state! That would give a great idea, and ofcourse handy for on the website, too....

Until dear billydo can appease us, I was able to go back in time a ways and locate some early meanderings....

My sleep patterns seem to be a little out of kilter at the moment, so having discovered that I had been 'logged out' yet again, I had to go through the procedure to retrieve a new password, [but I must say that it is a lot simpler to do than it used to be! Thank you FPN!]

Thank you so much Esterbex for posting those pictures of the flat pierced-out silver patterns of the Fairy series of overlays, I must confess, I wasn't aware that they had been photographed at that stage, but it must have been over a year ago since I was at that stage of making them!

Truffle Finder. :) :D :excl:

[shortly after 6.00am, on Sunday 'mid-summer' morning! No doubt, there's a lot of activity at Stonehenge this morning!]
