I have not posted here in a while, but I went for a big splash today and bought three Danitrio pens. I am quite excited to get them in my hands.

I couldn't let Fountain Pen Day go by without ordering something, so I chose this nice little Sheaffer from Greg Minuskin.

It's a Mini-Balance Lifetime Green Stripe, with a 0.7 mm medium stub nib.

I ordered a Carmine Balance from Mr. Minuskin, also fitted with a 0.70 stub. It will be interesting to compare our tests. And Marine Green Striated (full-size or oversized) is... well, not my grail pen, but something I can't help thinking about.

For Fountain Pen Day, I ordered a Platinum 3776 Century Yamanaka from nibs.com. Got a free bottle of Sheaffer blue ink, too. Woo-hoo!

For belated Fountain Pen Day, I ordered a TWSBI Diamond 580 AL Blue from Pendleton Brown, with the Pendleton Point Elegant Butter-line Stub~Italic fine nib. Now I'll have a BLS in F, M, and B.

Sheaffer Touchdown. Don't know what the nib on it is yet, because it was a prize, not a purchase.

This was the year I was going to cut back on pen acquisitions. Really. But I just looked at my notes and I have either won, been given, or got free with ink nearly as many pens as I bought...

And the Touchdown has landed, er, touched-down, er, arrived! :bunny01: Black barrel and cap, (regular, as opposed to a Triumph nib) steel M1 nib, non-white dot model with what appears to be a 3 mm plain cap band, and "SHEAFFER'S" on the clip. I've just been trying to do a bit of research and it sounds as if it *might* be a Touchdown Cadet (?). No pix yet, sorry. I'll bring it along to OPS this weekend and hopefully someone will be able to help me narrow down details such as the exact model and a date range a bit better. Also, check to see if it's working....

Thanks to :notworthy1: Jeff Powers for the really cool contest on his blog in conjunction with FP Day 2015. I wasn't completely unfamiliar with Touchdowns, because I had borrowed one from a friend a couple of years ago to see if my husband would like the nib on it (only no, not fine enough for his tastes). Oh, and he threw a couple of bookmarks and an FP Day sticker in the package, which I hadn't seen at first, so I pulled up the one on the outside of the envelope and am keeping my fingers crossed that there is enough "sticky" left for it to stay on the cover of my laptop....

Just won something a little different on an eBay auction within the last hour: A Pineider EGO4. Brown methacrylate and sterling silver with an 18K M nib.

Pineider is an Italian stationer (kind of like Levenger) who sells pens made by other manufacturers under their brand name. In the past many of their pens have been made by Stipula. I am not sure who manufactured the EGO4 for them.

If you're interested in a photo, here's a link to Pineider and the pen: http://www.pineider.com/en/sales/394-ego4-fountain-pen-.html
