The first two have, in fact, been delivered but I will not see them for another two weeks since they arrived after I left for vacations. So, it's as if they were in the mail .

Saw this MB Stainless Steel II Classic at Marte Modena at a great price and couldn't resist. It's their store display but is in mint condition and never inked. Supposed to be here tomorrow!

I was on the wagon for a while but now that I realized that my 10-pack of the Massdrop De Atrementis order is coming in this week or next, I had to order a couple of TWSBI 580s (one in Rose Gold).

 

Inks have a way of spawning new pens. Weird how that works

Another Pelikan M200. The limited edition "cognac" demo, which will be loaded with brown ink. My pirre paul's wood "frankenpen" just doesn't have the capacity, or the ability to keep a load of ink liquid, that a Pelikan M200 has. (Then again, neither does my Wearever)

It arrived today. The light color makes it a lot easier to see what's inside than my red demo M200. It also makes it easy to see (for the first time) just how little ink comes up in the first fill cycle, when priming a completely dry pen.

Before reginding, using J. Herbin Stormy Grey:

 

 

After regrinding to a cursive italic (forgive the poor lighting. Indoors at night and all.):

 

 

Switching inks made all the difference! It writes nicely with Diamine, not overly wet.

Turned out lovely!

Just ordered an LE Safari Neon Lime with a 1.1mm stub for use with inks such as the J. Herbin Emerald of Chivor. I don't want to put it through my treasures, just in case the particulates do something mean to the feed.

The bamboo looks beautiful! How were you able to find the dorsal fin. I thought Nakaya had stopped making them. I hope they resume at some point, because I particularly want this pen:

I received an email saying this from Nakaya today:

because we receive a lot of orders and

Anyway, I ended up ordering the Portable Writer Bamboo Woods from Nibs.com instead. When they both arrive, I shall have a pair of bamboo patterned Nakaya.
