Whoot! All three of my Noodler's pens came in today! And here I thought it would be more of a steady trickle of pens. Ah well. And my Kaweco in all black should arrive tomorrow.

Yay, my new Pel M400 EF nib has arrived. I would still describe it as medium, but it's a good writer.

Love, love, loving my new sapphire Pilot Metal Falcon that arrived yesterday from Goulet. Not only is it beautiful, it writes like a dream.

I have two other Falcons, so I shouldn't be surprised. But given the other Pilots I've tried and rejected, that's still the case.

I always wanted one but the prices had shot up by the time I had disposable funds. I've got an early non telescopic Esprit which does have the same qualities rotring was famous for. So I've come to accept I probably won't get one unless some sumgai was to come my way.

I justified the purchase by telling myself that I won't fall prey to other inferior pens that cross my path and waste money on them. Come to think of it, I justify every purchase that way.

Some sumgai?

Hero 1000.

They seem to get good reviews on here, so looking forward to it.

Also a Hero 1026 and a 572.

I'm waiting for two Pelikan M400 pens to arrive (white tortoise & green). Both are EF nibs. I think the green one will arrive next Friday.

Is the gold EF nib much wider than the steel EF nib (like the one on my Pelikan M205)?

I caved in this week and ordered a few pens I've been keeping my eye on. Got a lamy 2000 BB, custom 823 B and a waterman carene M. Ugh damn temptation!!!

I don't have any other Pels so only have the gold EF in my M400, so I can't give you a comparison. Lots of others can though!

I would describe it as between a western fine and medium. Still considerably broader than my Sailor and Platinum Mediums. I have read that the steel nibs run finer, but have no direct experience.

I absolutely LOVE the tortoiseshell. I can't stop looking at it and touching it! Hope you enjoy yours.

A couple Jinhaos: a 588 in blue, and an unknown model with a blue and white floral porcelain pattern (not the X450 version, which I already have). Aaaaand I found a Kaweco Sport in the limited Dark Brown color on eBay, so I snatched it. I intend to put a bronze clip on it, squee of joy!

Trick it out, TeaHive! I remember the way you did the extreme makeover on the Preppy.

Goulet Pen Co. had a buy one get one Jinhao special, so I'm getting three different models, and three "sparkly pens." Looking forward to saying ni hao to the Jinhaos.

I finally made the decision to purchase another Pilot Custom 74 to replace the one I lost...BUT, I also decided to get a limited edition version in Violet...Due to the weak yen, it ended up being the same price of the Pilot Custom 74 Demonstrator in Violet that I lost.

Here's a picture of what the pen looks like

Oooh, that's pretty!

I'm still waiting on my White Tortoise. I had it shipped to Art for nib work; it got to him so now I wait.

That is a very good-looking pen. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

I am sure I will, thank you. Despite it being an old design it is my favourite. Love the balance and feel too.
