I sprung for a TWSBI Vac 700 in clear with a broad nib. It will be my first TWSBI and my first vacuum filler. I hope the cracking reports are exaggerated!

My two Franklin Christophs have arrived. I'm very happy with them. The 65 in Cracked Ice is like a fairy princess pen. Or, it feels that way compared to my big black 66.

 

Now I am waiting on my Pendleton Brown TWSBI 580 Purple and then I too will go on a break from spending. I've just put on braces which is going to put a serious crimp in my ability to spend money willy-nilly on every fountain pen I see.

 

It's actually fairly difficult. Up until now, if I saw a pen I liked I bought it. That's a hard habit to break, so I'm putting myself a diet. Only 5 ink samples and one bottle of ink a month and any pens I buy have to be saved up for separately. Wish me luck!

My Rosetta Napoleon II in blue marble swirl just arrived to play with my Monteverde Jewelria Mini, both fine nib. Now I am awaiting a TWSBI Vac700 in amber with medium nib! So excited!

@Frank C, here's a shot of those needlepoint nibs compared to the Platinum 3776 Ultra Extra Fine. The Pilot Petit 1 and Esterbrook 2556 are my finest, especially the Esterbrook. The Think nib is fairly close in nib size to the Pilot Petit, but it has a wetter Noodler's feed. My grinds aren't astoundingly smaller than the Platinum, but enough to tell visually. The Edison is more of an xxf, though. I use it for writing, not drawing, so the nib didn't have to be super tiny.

I recently bought this beautiful oblique broad Parker 51 nib. So far, I have no pen to put it in, but I'm waiting for a Parker 51 in the mail :-) Really looking forward to try this nib.

I have a couple of Saibi Togi nibs. I think that your grinds are in that range. Very Impressive, indeed! Thanks for posting the pictures.

I'm currently waiting on two Noodler's ebonite konrads, dixi #10 jade and dixi #10 red, which will complete my collection of every color ebonite konrad made to date. I forgot to order replacement nibs and feeds as I am planing on trying out some experiments with adding more flex and flow but I guess I'll just have to order some more ink and pen parts later, oh darn

I keep hoping more colors will come out. I saw some of the colors of the Neponsets and would love to see an ebonite Konrad in either Teal or Eider.

Just received two Lamy joy in WHITE, from the Writing Desk in England.

I waited too long, and could not find any at a reasonable price in the US.

This past weekend Giovanni Arbrate (who you may know as the owner of Tryphon Enterprises) began the task of liquidating the remaining stock from the Filcao pen company of Settimo Torinese, Italy. Beginning in 1963 and continuing until his death this past February, Franco Grisolia, the founder and owner of Filcao, produced a line of fine quality pens. Among them are the two that I am waiting for: a Leader in the Arlecchino pattern and a Silvia Limited Edition in the red and bone combination.
