Cleaning Fellowship Neo

I have the wonderful piston filler Fellowship Neo
but i can't get the nib and feed out to clean.

i tried contacting the seller , and the only thing
he could come up with was to soak it...hahaha.

I am sure some here have the pen. How are you cleaning it ?

Soaking sounds like excellent advice to start with. Add a little dishwashing liquid to the water and eventually you may be able to pull the nib and feed out. That said, if the pen writes well, why bother? I do not think it is necessary to pull the nib and feed every time you clean your pen. With a piston filler, you can take up a little of the soapy water and push it through the nib & feed using the piston; that should clean your pen just fine.

i am changing ink to Sailor Peach
That's very light colour.
The residue black TOTALLY change Sailor Peach colour.

maybe i need to reserve this only for black or dark blue ink

In neo , u can pull up the nib and feed it will come out also u can also unscrew the nib unit , u can see two slots ,just put some tool and unscrew it the whole portion will come out .

 

Also u can take out the bottom and the piston unit easily just unscrew the bottom slowly and the piston will come out , but when fitting it again kindly see to put in some silicon in the head (for smooth working) also put in the head easily so that u donot damage it since it is soft .

ONLY the nib came out.
As for turning, its totally no movement there.

 

think i will break it if i put any more pressure.
Its very stiff.....

LOVE the pen.
its fine lines are very fine and the nib has a little spring to it.
With some skill you can get very nice fine and broad variation.

 

Cheapest piston pen i have ever seen.

The pen is also available as Click Pure Piston F.P , The feeder will also come we give it a tight fit, take out the feed straight, see that it doesnt break the feed, in cleaning the pen cleaning the feed is important since the channels are thin .

 

Also if it doesnt happen that way just clean the pen with water , like how we fill in and out the ink do it around 7-8 times , the cleaning will happen also never use hot or warm water (it disturbs the resin shape) use normal temperature water.

Thanks Harsh for detailed explanation. I was able to take the nib and feeder

but not the unit due to lack of a suitable tool. What tool you are using?

Also which nib you are using in this pen? It s really nice.

This pen has a standard 5 no nib , we use customized tools but u can use a nose pliers wherein u can put the nose inside the 2 holes and rotate it anti clockwise for opening it.

You can simply unscrew and take out the piston and throughly flush the pen from the top.

This is pretty good advice. I will also have to try it.

 

However i think the quality of pen under different brands have variable quality.

 

Was not happy with nib feed setup of oliver Tulip & consequently fit it with Pilot nib

In contrast the Pierre Cardin Pure was very well executed.

 

Am currently looking forward to the Click demonstrator from ASA.

 

Hope in future you also make similar piston filler but with somewhat bigger size.

Its great when manufacturers like Harsh share the 'tricks' of the trade so to speak. Have the blue Click verssion of this and I have to say that the pen is impressive. The passion shows.

Digging up an old thread:

 

Would really like to dissemble (without damaging of course) a Click Tulip. Cleaning is the secondary issue, since flushing over and over does not quite do the trick. My primary motivation is syringe filling, since adding ink can be a struggle if the source container isn't deep enough. Has anybody "finessed" this model? How so? EMWTK
