I know this is one of Amber's favorites, but another view of this might be handy for those scoring at home:

And a little bit more on the red side, MOMIJI. Wow. The. Sheen. Had to have it —especially since we have a Japanese maple in our front yard...

I had to have someone prove to me that those Japanese maple leaves were pink. Once I saw the light, I loved the ink.

I actually think that iroshizuku line reproduces nature colours pretty accurately.

I agree, Ereshkigal. Colors in nature are complex and multi-layered, and so are the Iroshizuku inks, for the most part.

Oh my! I want one of those trees! I wonder if they will grow in California?

LOL! Probably! But with the drought we have forced outdoor watering restrictions. I am barely able to keep my little roses alive. :( Hopefully we can get enough rain to begin recovering soon. I don't like the idea of what happens if the drought continues to worsen over the next few years....We need an Elijah to pray for rain, lol.

During a VERY dry summer here one year my Mother was astounded when she visited her hairdresser & noticed her garden thriving. She asked her secret & she said she had been not draining her bathwater BUT carrying it by the bucket full to water her flowers. I know it is impractical & a lot of work BUT just a thought "for your little roses."

I do "capture" the water that is running while waiting for it to achieve desired temperature. It is usually 1-3 gallons & I can use it for "free" water when filling the automatic washer. Even though I am in a state without water restrictions & have my own well in addition to city supplied water I was raised in the country where @ times the water source was simply a cistern or well & either a quite finite supply. For me water IS "precious" & I am well aware of it's value.

Brilliant!!! Thank you so much!! I will try this. I don't really have time to take baths, but my kids do. I can totally enlist their help in lugging buckets of bath water outside, lol. My son would probably actually enjoy it, lol :)

Yeah, I know it's not supposed to be pink, but I think it looks pink.
