The pen is a Franken Pen - a DIY stubbed Jinhao fountain pen nib fitted into a dip nib holder. I made two: the stub and a fine for testing and swatching inks. The handles do vary in the size of nib that will fit, I tried a few until I paired these nibs with their handles.

I made them after I broke my glass dip pen, didn't want to wait for a new one to arrive and saw one of these that @A Smug Dillmade. I'm still getting the hang of using them: lots of blobbing and quickly running dry, but I do believe it's workable - I just need more practice.

Thanks for the info. Do the stubbed Jinhaos work any better (or worse) with fountain pen ink than italic dip pen nibs?

The glass pen feed works so well with fp ink. If they had a more interesting tip - italic, say - then I think I would actually use them...

I left as much tipping on mine as I could to keep it fairly smooth, I wanted it to write more like a fountain pen than an italic dip nib (which I found less smooth and not much better at holding on to the fountain pen ink). I think I'll continue using these rather than ordering another glass pen.

Will work for pens...

Is there a cool pink lighter than Herbin Bouquet d'Antan?

Is it fair for an intelligent and family oriented mammal to be separated from his/her family and spend his/her life starved in a concrete jail?

Did you try the Pelikan Edelstein Rose Quartz? Although I'm not sure it really is lighter than the Herbin.

I checked Yazeh's review, it is definitely darker.

I found out, that relying on swatches, is not a good idea, many times, writing samples look quite different than the swatch.

Hence my inquiry on that sub forum.

You were right Ferris Wheel Malibu Blush might be what I am looking for.

Oh, another suggestion is to use a dilutant. I use L'Artisan Pastellier's 'Diluant' for ink. It's really handy. I believe De Atramentis might have one too.

I apologize, a closer look at Ferris Wheel shows that they are either darker or warmer than Bouquet d'Antan.

The closest I found was a Diamine fruit ink at Cult Pens but it’s either the same or warmer. I think @PithyProlixis on the right track and a dilutant may be your best bet. The other thing would be the Inkebara custom ink route.

I saw a dilutant easily available, the funny thing is, I mostly use Herbin, which people believe to be way too pale.

Alternatively, I could get a new small bottle of Bouquet d'Antan which would be lighter than my old one, I also can use that ink in 2 pens or make a sample of a diluted version of Rose Tendresse, which is the shade I am after.

So nice to be able to share with people who understand the ink/fp match conundrum. :)
