Schwarz - Octopus

Interesting that on my screen the ink looks like a very dark blue-black or green-black. Definitely not "black".

ETA: Thanks as always for the review (somehow I missed this thread initially).

Same here - Miruai came to mind.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I stumbled across these inks on Amazon and wondered what they were like. Visvamitra's excellent reviews make them look worthy of a try. Can anyone comment on flow and lubrication? Thanks.

This one looks interesting. I have learned to really appreciate the nuances in blue-blacks.

Thanks for the review. And, well, not... (feeling like Das' cartoon stick figure pulling out the empty pockets...).

I've been using a few of their inks, plus their 'Rainbow Ink' mixing set, for about 3 years. My favourites are Burgunder & Karamell. They have a reasonable degree of lubrication, are moderately saturated & about an 7/10 for wetness/flow. They are fairly typical of the other colours apart from Lindgrün, which feels drier to me.

I bought mine direct from Octopus. They are very efficient & super-friendly. They are also a good source for HDPE & glass bottles, & caps.

Could anyone comment on water resistance of this ink?

“I admit it, I'm surprised that fountain pens are a hobby. ... it's a bit like stumbling into a fork convention - when you've used a fork all your life.”

Ordered a 250ml bottle. Just in case.

Good thing too, as it's no longer available.

Add lightness and simplicate.
