Just a few nearby Parker Vacumatics

One can never get quite enough

You are my hero.

I'd love a collection like that one day!

Wow! This is turning into an awesome show and tell thread for Vacs. They are quickly becoming my favorite pens to collect and work on.

I thought I just needed a red one to fulfill my striped vac dreams, but I'm afraid this is going to be like when I first got into Estys. Soon I'll want one of each style as well as color.

This FP addiction is either going to land me in the poor house or the nuthouse. Or possibly both.

How do you protect your parker Vacumatics? Do you fill them with water when not in use?

I don't with mine -- I flush them really well (to the point of being OCD about it ), let them drain on paper toweling for a day or two, then put them away till I get the craving for them. I have two working ones -- Silver Pearl Major and Azure Blue Pearl Debutante or sub-Debutante; and two non-working ones, which I think are both Debutantes -- a Grey Shadow Wave and a Brown Shadow Wave. The brown one doesn't seem to be taking up liquid, so I'm going to have to probably get the diaphragm replaced; the grey one needs a complete overhaul, and some work done on the celluloid on the cap (which I'm currently saving up for by mostly not buying pens at the moment...).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
