The Best Fountain Pen Ever Made?

I'm always trying to coax information from my 85-year-old Mom. She had to have used fountain pens during high school and her early working years. I show her all types from my collection, but she doesn't differentiate the brands. She just says "Oh, those pens, I hate those! They leaked all over me."

I'm guessing she never bought anything more expensive than a Wearever.

 

I envy those of you who have your parents' and grandparents' pens to use! ( I have plenty of old pens, but no personal connection to previous owners.)

My favorite pen in my collection is the Parker 45 stainless ballpoint. This is the pen I will take to space when China becomes advanced enough to make affordable space faring vehicles for the masses. Indeed, this pen is strong enough to be used as weapon to kill dangerous aliens.

Why is this in the Sheaffer forum?

Sheaffer Touchdown Imperial or C/C Imperial with inlaid nib. The TD sac is easy to replace and you can use a PVC sac. The cartridges are easy to refill with a syringe, or you can get a pushbutton converter.
