The most beautiful pen I own is Lamy 2000M. When I first saw a 2000, it immediately become my dream pen

I prefer the Makrolon version to the metal version. But my friend wanted to sell his 2000M in a very reasonable price so I bought his 2000M

For its simple beauty, my Nakaya unpolished shu Piccolo.

Runner-up: Danitrio Komori.

And, although rarely used, a vintage Waterman Lady Patricia.

My overall most beautiful pen is my Omas Arlecchino:

Though, I think this PFM-II is a very close second:

You know, there are a lot of beautiful pens out there. Do I have anything that compares with any of these?

Depends on what you like. (and I like many of those that have been posted)

Of the pens I own? I would certainly have to include the following:

Parker 45 Flighter

True Writer Silver Anniversary

TWSBI 580

Pelikan 120 Merz & Krell

I don't have any great photos of any of them... I don't think...

There are two pens I own that really captivated me with their looks: the Pilot Makie Seigaiha and the Pelikan M600 White Tortoise:

There are quite a few more pens out there that look really beautiful to me... Hopefully next year I can call them mine too

My husband got me this pen for Christmas. Simply gorgeous in every way! With the 1.3 stub nib and inked with Iro Yama-Budo, I am in love (with both the pen and my thoughtful and generous hubster)!

A very close second is my Montegrappa Ducale with rose gold trim.

Happy to say that I have no grail pens at the moment - a good (and less expensive) place to be.

Past grail pens for me, since acquired include the Waterman Boucheron,

Waterman Man 100 Etoile:

the quite rare Waterman Man 100 'Specimen' pen, done in Vermeil as a sales demo for the solid 18K model and sent to jewellers selling the line (no one knows how many made - few hundred?) Had to look for five years for that one!

and the Pelikan CP-6 Marguerite, which no one ever seems to sell (only 500 made)

I really like the look of that Pilot Murex. Sad to see it was never sold in the US and discontinued many years ago. I guess eBay is the only way I'll ever get a hold of one of those.

These are all so magnificent! It's almost like fountain pen porn!

I think the most beautiful pens I have are these:

Top to bottom: a 1940s-50s Spanish-made Montblanc in striped gray pearl; a Waterman Ink-Vue in "Copper Ray"; a Waterman 5521/2 with filigree overlay; a Sheaffer Blue Balance; and a Waterman 42 Safety made in Italy for Italian Officers of the 44th Infantry.

Looking at wspohn's Man 100s, I shake my head at wonder why Waterman ever discontinued them. Sure glad I have mine (but not quite so fancy as his).

Wow! :yikes: Some of these pens are literally works of art. They're downright amazing. But is that a necessarily a good thing, when a pen stops being a pen and becomes a work of art? I am not sure I'd feel comfortable (emotionally and physically) using them as they're meant to be used. But, man, all I can say is amazing.

The sleekest, classiest black and gold pen I have is the Geha 725 Goldwing. I just don't have a camera good enough to show it. Rolled gold trim, gold disk top and bottom. What impresses me is with two simple lines, the clip become a classic.

One of my better balanced pens too. Semi-flex F. ('60s-72)

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

In the event that you might perhaps be referring to my pens among others, all of those pictured are in regular rotation and see frequent use. The two red pens are currently inked. The Conway Stewart was just taken out of rotation when it ran out of ink on Dec. 4, 2014 and the Classic Pens Black Legend Prototype on Dec. 18. The Danitrio and the green Targa both came out of rotation on July 13, 2014. They all write too well to not be used. They have not stopped being pens, they are simultaneously pens and works of art!
