You know, there are a lot of beautiful pens out there. Do I have anything that compares with any of these?

Depends on what you like. (and I like many of those that have been posted)

Of the pens I own? I would certainly have to include the following:

Parker 45 Flighter

True Writer Silver Anniversary

TWSBI 580

Pelikan 120 Merz & Krell

I don't have any great photos of any of them... I don't think...

I don't have a way to take decent pictures but I do have my great-grandmother's Waterman Ideal 452 1/2 L.E.C sterling overlay pen with a flexible #2 stub nib. It is a slender clipless pen that is hand chased with a floral design. It's beautiful and I feel lucky to have this pen which is at least 90 years old and still writes beautifully. Fahrney's pen doctors installed a new sac and fixed a tiny crack in the section for me about 20 years or so ago and it's good to go for a while yet.

A close second would be my Mabie-Todd Swan Minor 57 with a flexible #1 medium nib that I lucked into on the 'Bay. It is made of a lovely blue, grey and gold celuloid and is, perhaps, the nicest writing nib I own. I bid on it assuming a Swan would ultimately go for much more than I could afford but the pictures weren't great and possibly many thought a size 1 nib wasn't big enough or special enough to bother with. Whatever the reason I'm glad other's stayed away from it :P

I would say probably my Morrison ringtop with a gold-fill filigree overlay. No pix of mine, sorry -- this is a link to another Morrison pen with a similar overlay design (but appears to be a standard size pen):

And the best part is that it's a nice wet writer (I think the nib might actually be a B). I last had Diamine Emerald in the pen and it was a great combination.

I would have to nominate my Conway Stewart 100 as my most beautiful pen, but there are several close runners-up.

Here are the runners-up, in no particular order:

S. T. Dupont Vertigo

Sheaffer Targa Model 1086 Green Moire. The picture does not do this pen justice, it simply glows in the light and that can't be photographed.

This is very plain compared to some of the pens in this thread. It is, however, the only pen that has motivated me to buy it on it's looks and it is certainly my best looking pen.

For a while I thought I might post a picture of one of my pens and say it was the most beautiful, but I'd change my mind as soon as I hit "Post", And saying which is the most beautiful would be like asking me to state who was the most beautiful woman I ever dated while they were all standing right in front of me.

Well, OK, I'll take the plunge and say my M800 - no wait, my Man 100 - no wait . . . .

Many 'elegant' pens on display. But, for me, some of the most beautiful pens are on display in the 'Pen Turning' section of FPN. The work being done by some turners on material like alumilite is mind boggling. For example the desk pens by scriptorium (http://scriptoriumpens.com/pen-models-2/literati-desk-pen/ ) are just amazing.

The most beautiful pen I own is a Fosfor Maharaja in Alumilite...Pic from their website appended below.

Karl,

I love the Parker Ellipse. It's a vastly underrated pen. I have one just like it, same color, even the same nib.
