TWSBI Vac 700, 1.5 mm stub, Akkerman Hopjesbruin, plus Pilot Parallel Pen 2.4 mm, Pilot red ink, both on Rhodia paper. Short practice session before breakfast: Roman Capitals.

Pelikan M800 EF, DA Sherlock Holmes (dark blue) and a Multo lecture notebook for notes at work.

Pilot VP with stub nib and RK Alt-Goldgrün on stand-by.

Seems like this has been my setup for ages now. I used to switch pens and inks more often, but the TWSBI, Pelikan and Pilot have been in service with the same ink for months on end now. It's good to get to know a few pens a little better.

I do occasionally rinse the nib with a bit of water before filling the pen again, to prevent small paper fibers and other dirt becoming a big mess. Not sure if this is really needed, but squeezing out a little ink and then rinsing thouroughly takes very little time and the pens have been working quite reliably since this summer.

But... while contributing to a traveling notebook earlier this month, I did add a Parker Duofold and a Pilot Metal Falcon to the mix, although each was filled with very little ink. I also dipped my school pen in ink and found that it actually wrote pretty well.

Still, the main pens are Pelikan M800 EF with DA Sherlock Holmes, Pilot VP stub italic with R&K Alt-Goldgrün and TWSBI Vac 700 1.5 stub with Akkerman Hopjesbruin.

Alas! My daughter has broken the charcoal Lamy Safari I had with a Van Haselen-stubbed M nib. I can salvage the barrel, the converter, and the nib. The section and cap are broken. We'll see what happens.
