Well, I wrote with many pens today because I visited a Montblanc shop and tried a bunch of 90th Anniversary LeGrands (I bought the F nib). Ink? All Montblanc inks: Blue, green, and black, I think.

William, Congratulations on your purchase.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Sheaffer Balance "frankenpen" with fine nib

Waterman Taperite Crusader with sort of an italic nib - one of the tines had lost its tip, so snipped the other one to match and filed the nib smooth. It's one of my favorites now.
