I am looking to put up for sale a Mont Blanc Meisterstuck Classique Pen and Pencil set. They are brand new and logo-engraved (and gold inlaid), and I would like them to go to someone who would appreciate them. How would I go about posting an ad in the Classified section?

Many thanks,

Ed

Welcome to the forum, Ed.

I think you might have to be here a while to take advantage of the classifieds here.

But you have definitely found the right place to find folks who appreciate a good fountain pen.

Thanks Wandering Man. I see your from Victoria. I live in Hutto, NE of Austin. Been a pen collector all my life. Also have my Dad's old sterling silver and gold Parker 75 fountain pen that I will also sell or trade someday. Could have used this site awhile back when I was trying to hunt down some parts for another one of my Mont Blancs. Looks like this is the place to be!

Welcome, Ed !

I hope you will spend some productive time with us. I hope that you learn about your

Montblanc, and what an excellent writing instrument it is. You will learn to appreciate

it, and the joy of writing. (You are going to get "killed" on the sale of the pen.)

Howdy Ed and welcome!

We used to fly hot air balloons out of Hutto back in the 80s so I know exactly where that is.

We've since moved to Colorado but have fond memories of our days in Austin and the area...back when it wasn't a million people!

Howdy Ed and welcome to FPN

Pakman already explained about the classifieds. So you can not post there yet, but you can browse them and buy if you would be so inclined.

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

There is still chemistry for processing regular chrome (positive) films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fuji Velvia, but Kodachrome was a completely different and multistep beast.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.
