Hi,

Many thanks for sharing the results of your inky adventure!

From what I can see, the Magenta leans quite a bit to the Red - it isn't a pure 'process colour' as one finds in the printing / graphics field, though that could be a shortcoming of the [RGB] digital colur gamut on my display.

(Wiki 'magenta color' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magenta)

I've used various aniline dye inks from Yellow to 'Gold' along with Diamine Deep Magenta to conjure some Red-centric inks, so I appreciate knowing that such blends may also be done with Document Inks.

Did you notice anything untoward with the blend? No moggies gone missing, or strange bumps in the night?

Bye,

Thank you for doing these and thank you, Sandy, for your insight.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Not at all - the Magenta doesn't lean towards red, it is a very good primary magenta - makes awesome purples as well as clean crimsons, reds and oranges (I've shown the purples elsewhere). The mixes with magenta and the the document yellow and document blue are wonderful. My only slight issue is the mixing Turquoise, which I have called Cyan, which has a touch of what I would call granulation but it isn't - it is a bit 'dotty' in a wash. In a pen used for writing there is no issue. I am really delighted with these inks - I'd use black, brown, blue (rather than cyan as I like a warm blue), yellow and magenta to mix whatever I want. I have shown all the trials on my blog www.janeblundellart.blogspot.com

Cheers,

Jane
