I really like the bright lime cap. The Nexx deserves more love. I have three.

An olive Studio I impulsively bought at the Frankfurt airport during our trip to Italy (with my wife’s encouragement).  I’m using it with an extra gold medium nib I had.  So smooth and well balanced!

Do you feel a distinct difference between these two nibs, and maybe compared to a Z55 ?

@Lithium466 I don’t have a z55 yet, but the z56 feels a little stiffer and the z57 actually gives a bit of line variation (and I have a very light hand). I have had the z57 longer and used it three times so far; the cp1 and the z56 are on their first use/fill. I’m planning on getting both the z55 and z58  eventually, so I can mix, match, and compare. I wonder if the PVD changes the action somewhat. I would love it if other PVD colors were available.

Thanks. I was debating on getting a Z56 to compare with the others (and complete the "collection").
The Z57 and Z58 feel close to each other, but to provide an accurate comparison I should try them with two identical pens using the same ink, and I didn't try that yet.

I too wonder about the PVD, and would like to see other colours too! There's enough variability with these Lamy nibs that I wouldn't know..one thing is for sure, the Z55 feels very different, and the tipping isn't ground the same (maybe because mine is older).

My current inked Lamy pen is the Studio Aquamarine with M Nib. Using it with the Pilot Iroshizuku Kujaku ink (a.k.a Peacock/Turquoise colour)

Next on my rotation list will be the Studio Black Forest with EF Nib.

Lamy AL-Star with a black Lamy cartridge.  It's an EF but writes like a F.
