I don't think so. They were only produced for a few years and I haven't seen them come up for sale much. I got mine in 1999.

I just picked up a Lamy Joy set that came with all three stub nibs (1.1mm, 1.5mm, and 1.9mm). They write very nicely right out of the box. However, I've noticed that they produce a line that is maybe 0.1mm thinner than the rating on the nib. This is plainly evident when I compare a stroke made with the Lamy Joy 1.5mm nib to a stroke made with my Pilot Parallel 1.5mm pen.

 

Is it common for the actual line stroke of a stub nib to vary +/- some amount of the specified width?

Safari Petrol (cartridges sadly, Missed that boat...). Wish I'd bought into Lamy sooner, seldom touch my Parkers anymore. This Safari is on another level compared to my Sonnet.

They were made for only three years but were the cheapest variant of all Personas:

I can assume that they are probably more expensive than other Personas now.

 

I will be going to Europe in the next few months, so I will be on the lookout for a Persona, (or another European fountain pen that's not made anymore.)

I am currently away from home, so will post comparison pics of the 2000OM and 2000M early next week. The issue with the oblique nibs is that that either suit you or they don’t. Even though I’m left-handed I find the Lamy Left-footed obliques perfect for me.

Some lovely Lamys on here, thanks for sharing.

 

I'm using all mine today, a Matt black one with black ink, a pink one with Noodler's bulletproof ink (for urban sketching), and a new petrol one with petrol ink, all safaris.

 

I love them. I'm making an effort to keep my pink one nice and clean as I've heard the Noodler's can clog a bit but I've had no problems and it makes me use the pen every day.
