Just got another Lamy 2000 with an oblique medium nib as a birthday present. These nibs are fantastic and so much fun to write with. Currently inked with Montblanc Corn Poppy Red, but something tells me I will flush and refill with Montblanc Exupery ink still today.

Hello!

Just stumbled into this group today and already sank in about an hour just reading up on the provenance of LAMY. I used to go for another. Rand but I found them too temperamental given my day-to-day activities. At any rate, since I'm in the office, I am using my twin Vistas for a long day full of meetings.

Cheers!

Just got my Lamy Safari in Petrol M and like it very much. It's inked with Platinum's Sepia Black. I like the textured finish and black furniture :)

Sounds interesting!

Could you please post a quick picture of the results?

I'm planning to buy my fourth Lamy 2000 and was considering an oblique medium nib!

A Lamy Safari, dark yellow, with Rohrer and Klingner Scabiosa.

The Safari is my wettest pen and thus a good choice for use with drier inks, but I've never used an iron gall ink in it before. When I have a pen inked, I write with it every day, and when it's empty, I flush it and soak the section overnight, so I hope all will go well.

A 2000 F nib with platinum citrus black iron gall

And a 2000 EF nib with R&K scabiosa.

The EF is my work pen since it is one of the absolute toughest pens made.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)
