Hi all,

As per usual for me... lots of Lamy in service at home and at the office...

L2K: Diamine Chocolate

Studio, (Imperial Blue): WM Serenity Blue

Logo, (Pearl): R&K Verdigris

Al-Star, (Copper): J. Herbin Cacao du Bresil

Al-Star, (purple): Lamy b/b (hate this ink... it flows like molasses for me).

Safari, (Apple Green LE): Diamine Ultra Green

Safari, (Dk. Lilac LE): Lamy Petrol cartridge.

Safari, (Petrol LE): DNK... Some dark blue ink... perhaps Diamine Midnight or Bilberry?

Safari, shiny black, broad: Diamine Matador Red

Safari, shiny white, fine: Diamine Matador Red

I think that's all of them... the rest of my Lamys are in "dry dock" or storage. :)

Safari petrol with petrol cartridge. Safari dark lilac with dark lilac cartridge. Fun pens. More fun than the sober and serious stuff.

Lamy Safari dark yellow (don't know what it is really called--the color of a school bus, not a Meyer lemon), with Iroshizuku Ajisai

Hard to take photos when it's so dark.

I thought I finally had flow issues with Majestic Blue, but nope, I had only ran out of ink

You're welcome and thank you for the personalized "thanks," Almu... I'm going to try to reciprocate later, but be warned... my penmanship looks like chicken scratches. :D

Hi Almu, et al,

I prepared this paper at home and took it to work to photograph the two pens that usually stay in my office.

You can clearly see why my third-grade teacher,... who taught me cursive pemanship, (I'll conceal her identity to spare her the humiliation); kept intermittently sticking her head in the doorway and slamming the door shut. When she wasn't doing that; she was bouncing erasers off of my head.

Be well and enjoy life. :)

PS: I'll post a pic of my "home-base" Lamys this evening. (I hope). :)

PS2: You can also see my photography skills are painfully equal to my penmanship skills.

I did take a picture, like above, but it did not work out too well, partly due to running out of space on the paper after remembering about one of my pens, so here's a list instead.

EDC attached to my Midori (nee Traveller) Passport

Dialog 3, Palladium finish, Medium gold nib, Lamy Black

Taken to work (in pen case)

Imporium, Black with gold trim, Fine gold nib, Lamy Black

Scala, Glacier (50th Anniversary), Fine gold nib, Robert Oster Fire and Ice

Safari, Dark Lilac, Medium steel nib, Lamy Dark Lilac (cartridge)

Inked, but kept at home

LX, Paladium, Fine steel nib, Pilot Iroshizuku Muraski-Shikibu

Studio, Steel, 1.5 steel nib, Diamine Brandy Dazzle

Safari, Petrol, Medium steel nib, Lamy Petrol

(also got a Al-Star, Aluminium, Medium steel nib, uninked)

Lamy 2000 extra-fine - Diamine Asa Blue

Lamy Al-Star medium - Herbin Lie de Thé

Lamy Vista fine - Diamine Classic Green

Hi all,

Here are all the home-base Lamys that are currently in use:

Nice collection there. I've been thinking of buying a green Safari but I keep telling myself I already have enough pens :). Then again, I'm also thinking of buying a Lamy 2000 with a medium nib. I like my extra-fine 2000, but I sort of wish I had gotten a medium instead, for that pen.

I'm using my new wine-colored Al-Star with a 1.5 stub that I purchased from The Pen Market a week ago at the DC pen show. I'm using the Lamy blue ink cartridge that came with the pen.

Hi Almu,

Thank you. :)

Yes, I see your predicament... depending on what your budget is like... splurge and treat yourself to the green one... it's a neat color... I have 21 Safari's... you can never have too many. ;)

On the other hand; if funds are more constrained... saving up for a medium nibbed L2K is a laudable pursuit with a pretty high ROI. :)

I hope you find the correct answer amidst all of my babble. Be well and enjoy life. :)

Today I am carrying Franken Studio, Brushed steel one with Stainless steel section from matte black studio and black anodized EF nib from charcoal safari. It is filled with Diamine Saffire Blue. Ideal for rough handling.
