Just received the Petrol Sfari with Fine nib. When I use up the ink in Red I will ink the Petrol.

Lamy 2000. After a 5 year quest and several thousand dollars, I've concluded that it's THE PEN. Mine has a medium nib, which suits my writing perfectly. I also picked up a 2000 RB as a back up and I'm going to snag a 2000 ef for notations. This will be my EDC for a long time to come.

Before I got into pens, the 2000 was my dream pen. Even after all of the acquisitions, it still is.

I feel much the same; mine is a fine, though. It's a wonderful, wet pen!

Tastes differ. I bought my 2000 with high expectations. Had a faulty nib, pen went back and was lost in the mail (NOT Lamy's fault) and found after about a year, got a replacement nib that is better, but still not exciting me.

I like all my other Lamy pens, though.

Wrote two dang'ole papers with an Al Star. Fun fun fun. I never knew a Lamy could fix the issue of bore drum while writing an essay.

Mr UPS dropped off a Lamy 2000 with F nib today so that is what I am using inked up with Kon-peki blue ink. It was an early birthday present to my self. I expect it is the best present I will get this year.

Hi, Using my 'Vista' with the 1.1mm nib, ink is currently Cross blue, which seems to work well in all the pens I've tried it in.

Happy birthday and congrats on the pen!

I feel like Kon-Peki in Lamy 2000 Makrolon is like match made in heaven. I too have a Lamy 2000 inked up with Kon-Peki for today - but mine has a oblique medium nib. What a nib, I love this nib!

Well, since it's my first Lamy: My Safari Fine. In Petrol. I've had it inked up with R&K Alt-Goldgrun for a week and I have to say, I'm a fan of the fine nibs. Gosh. However, I just inked it up with Noodlers' Antietam because a friend sent me some samples from her collection. That's a neat contrast.
