Today I have been using my Lamy Brown EF Safari with Wancher Chocolate ink and Dark Lilac Safari Medium with Dark Lilac cartridge (love the ink but could not get a bottle of it). I like to match the ink to the pen colour most of the time.... :D

The Lamy I wanted to use today was my new Lamy Studio with the steel finish, but when I pull off the cap, the inner cap stays on the pen, and thus the outer cap (the steel part) won't stay on the pen when I cap it. But the pen does write well, and I love the finish.

Lamy Studio Imperial Blue with 14K gold nib, loaded with J Herbin Vert Reseda.

My wife and I went on a trip to town. Whilst there, we went to a pen shop to buy a single Sheaffer ink convertor for a recently acquired Targa. When my wife saw me admiring the Imperial Blue Studio, she bought it for me (and 3 Sheaffer converters). It came with the standard steel nib but I equipped it with a spare gold nib when I got home.

The Studios are fabulous pens: they write at least as well as some pens that are much more expensive, especially when fitted with the gold nib.

A Lamy Imporium blk/blk F that I bought on Amazon with 40% discount! It is nice , hefty (I like that!) and provides a very nice line: what else?

Several months after buying it, today I have at last opened my Dark Lilac Safari (M), and started using one of the cartridges of Dark Lilac ink that came with it.

Can *anyone* explain why LAMY decided to make this ink *only* a Limited Edition?

I am not asking anyone to explain why they also decided to NOT sell it in bottled form in Europe; because *that* is beyond all sensible explanation. Eejits :-(

A few weeks ago I bought a cheap Lamy Nexx M88 with a 1.1 italic. It is surprisingly excellent and smooth as all Lamy nibs are. I wanted a pen that writes nice but I'd not be to bothered if I lost, and this pen fits the bill perfectly. And I've been using it every day for the last 2 weeks!

Blue Safari at work, with blue Paradise Pens ink. Got a surprise gift of a Pacific Al Star tonight, with a bottle of matching ink. I got impatient and plugged in the included (blue black?) cartridge for now.

Today I am using my black Lamy Al-Star with Noodlers black ink. A no nonsense combo for a non nonsense day. This is quickly becoming my favorite pen and ink combo for work at the office.

I got carried away when I found the Scala Glacier on Amazon UK for ~£35 off (£150 compared to £185). I failed my resistance role (fumbled more accurately for any fellow RPGers out there) and it arrived today. Presently loaded with Lamy Turquoise (it came with a bottle of Lamy Blue). Pictures might follow.
