A Lamy Safari Dark Lilac with the 14K Z57 Black/Gold two-tone B nib with the J.Herbin Poussiere De Lune ink. It is a sight to behold. I shall post photos later :)

Show us please. Where did you purchase the gold nib? Did it come with a different feed and did you have to heat set it?? Thx

As requested, amy Safari Dark Lilac with the 14K Z57 Black/Gold two-tone B nib

Nib and Pen both purchased from La Couronne du Comte.

Gold nib is very soft and wet, but not too wet. Some of the black coating is also on the tipping material, and while there is almost no feedback, the black material in contact with paper does sound relatively loud, but it is still super smooth. The slit cut is not perfectly at the centre, and is a tenth of a millimeter to the right, which I have been told is something that only bothers me and very common even with high end nibs.

Imporium with Graf von Faber Castell Moss Green.

Where the nib on the 2000 feels broader than medium, that on the Imporium feels finer even though both are labelled medium. Perhaps it is the ink choices The 2000 has Lamy Dark Lilac.

Hi, Just did some smoothing 'work' on this medium nib, might have got it right this time, and testing it out with some ordinary Supermarket ink, transferred out from short international cartridges.

Hmm, switching today to Dialog 3 with Montblanc Corn Poppy Red. In fact three of my four pens in use right now are my three Lamy. It will be back to three pens when I run one out; probably the 2000 will drain first.

What lovely writing experiences they all are. What a pity I write so badly. Ah, but I write badly very, very smoothly. B)

My brand new Lamy Logo, in Twilight, inked up with Nooder's Nightshade. Came with M nib; may switch to either a B or 1.1. Still deciding. They're a nearly perfect match, though. (Diamine Purple Pazzazz would be a direct match, I think. But I have that one running in my CP1.)

Charcoal Safari M nib filled with nothing more exciting than a Lamy blue cartridge.

Red Lamy Safari with 1.1 mm italic sporting Diamine Oxblood.

Blue Lamy Safari with 1.1 mm italic sporting Diamine Salamander.

Although I pretty much use the 1.1 mm nibs exclusively, I really like the EZ-swap nib design. So clever, convenient, and economical. You can sooo totally change the pen's personality.

These two colors don't look particularly good together. I like them individually. These are just the two pens I happened to pull from the case as I was working on a draft brief.

Vista with EF nib from Rolf, Paradise Pens' "blue" ink, been using this at work for notes on regular "pad" paper, not too bad (I noticed two different paper grades here, the first one I had looked like writing on a paper towel, EF turned into 3 mm or more...).

Using a Safari Vista, medium nib, with some ink from a short International cartridge bought from my local supermarket, surprisingly high quality ink, for the low price paid, 20 cartridges for 70p.

The writing pad here is Rhodia lined paper @80gsm.

Hi mehandiratta, Thanks, well no, not an architect, I'm not clever enough for that, I don't even need a pen for my job.

When I was at school I always had terrible handwriting, I always wanted to do better, and I have tried for years to improve it, so it's just many, many hours of practice.
