An old Lamy 27e piston filler with a wonderful 14K OM nib. It's filled with S. T. Dupont Royal Blue ink.

Can't find my dark lilac Safari. I wonder if my daughter took it. If so, she better not run over this one with her truck.

I put the last little bit of Diamine Oxblood in my red Safari. It actually started blue, then purple, and finally Oxblood. Neat. Either I should flush better, or maybe embrace filling with syringes to avoid contaminating bottles of ink.

Two Safari's, Dark Lilac (ef) and Umbra (f) with an additional 1.1 stub nib. These are my first intro to Lamy Safari fountain pens. Not so sure I'm taken with the 'forced' grip and nib angle... we'll see...

A Lamy Safari Dark Lilac with the 14K Z57 Black/Gold two-tone B nib with the J.Herbin Poussiere De Lune ink. It is a sight to behold. I shall post photos later :)

I had mine for years before I even realized there was a 'forced' grip and nib angle. I tried holding them correctly a few time. That was no fun. So I just hold them naturally, and all is copacetic.

First time use of first Lamy here (second purchased, as noted in another thread). Just a 2000 with a medium nib inked with Lamy Dark Lilac. It writes as I had experienced in trials, which is too say smoothly and easily, and to respond to a common issue, I do not notice the ears. Very happy with the purchase.

Show us please. Where did you purchase the gold nib? Did it come with a different feed and did you have to heat set it?? Thx

Dark Lilac Lamy Safari, that I just switched from a M to a F nib and I'm loving it so much more. Ink is Noodler's "Bat Black Texas" (Dromgoole's of Houston exclusive)...waiting for my Dark Lilac ink to come in from Goulet! :D

A brand-new red Safari with an M nib and Lamy black ink.

It's pretty awesome. Probably my favorite Lamy nib so far. Which is a shame, because I was planning to swap it for a black M nib for aesthetic reasons... Now, do I risk getting a worse nib, or do I just deal with the booooooring steel colored nib?

Sigh. Decisions, decisions...

Lamy ABC, B nib (got bored of the A nib it came with).

So next you are going to order the C nib for it?

I know this is old, but there is actually such a thing as a C nib. I don't believe Lamy made it, but Aurora had a C nib. It stood for coarse, and it was a broad nib with a large ball-shaped tip. It's broader than a Lamy broad nib. I have one on one of my Aurora pens, and it's very interesting. I don't know if they make it anymore, at least not in their current range.

In the meantime, today, I'm using a pink Lamy Nexx with an A nib with Diamine Hope Pink.
