Using this Safari from about 2008 (?) which I now know has the wrong cap on it, should have the 'X' on the top but instead has the 'o' (rollerball?)

Hi rohit1974, I didn't know it was a SE, I thought it was a ms-matched cap and barrel with a rollerball Safari, as it was the only one the shop had at the time, thanks.

The rollerballs have a "–" instead of a "+" on the cap.

  • 2 weeks later...

Vista with a Fine nib (and the silver ‘LAMY’ logo almost entirely worn off the barrel).
Z24 converter loaded with Noodler's Black.

An excellent combination for doing attempting the crosswords & sudoku in newspapers :)

Using my Lamy Dialog3 that came back after Lamy repaired it. I had one of the first ones, very nice pen, gorgeous smooth nib, but it would dry out very quick.

Now after the repair (or swapped parts?... or pen?...) it writes like a dream, has a new inkwindow so you can see if your converter gets empty, and does not dry out, sofar.

Lovely pen.

Using the only one I own--a pretty blue Lamy Al Star. Will probably get more at some point, though, as I find the one I have to be comfortable in the extreme, and a very smooth, wet writer, which I like.

A black and white mix of a joy1.1 grip and a white safari body. I really like white pens, and I love the contrast when you are writing

Using this Vista, with Cross brand ink, a totally reliable pen.

I love that printing -- such admirable consistency on both size and shape of the letters.

Cheers,

David.

My brand new Lamy 2000. Just came in the mail yesterday. It got a flush and sat in paper towel overnight, so today is a new pen day for me.

Lamy Al-Star stealth all-black filled with De Atramentis Sherlock Holmes (night blue). I wish Lamy made black nibs in italic. I'd settle for one.

I like stealth

Your photos would work with my Al-Star. I live around 50 miles away from Whiteman AFB, home of the Stealth B-2 Spirit bomber. Edited by Misfit

Wow! Do you ever see one of those stealth bombers flying around in your area? Would be quite the site.

I agree, the Safari/Al-Star look quite stealthy too.

I like my Charcoal one:

For fans of the ‘Stealth’ look, 'tis pity that LAMY don't make any of their italic nibs in black.
