I gave away my Gemstone green and I regret it; it holds up in fade tests. I've never seen the Always Greener.

BTW, do you have pictures of your ink cabinets?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I have no cabinet --just the entire right side of my desk top:

Scary, isn't it? ;)

Scary for sure! How many ink bottles have you knocked right off the side? If that were my desk, I'd need a safety net.

Close calls, for sure! Luckily, the cat knows better than to go anywhere near. At least while I'm awake...

So are the Levengers behind the ink pots?

No, orange. He may have gotten into the Oranje Boven...

Yes, right -- just in front (below) the Herbin 1670 Inks. Current count is 104 bottles. Do you think an intervention is appropriate? ;)

Yes absolutely. You have too many bottles of ink. You should obviously send some of them to me! Because I'm pretty sure I *don't* have 104 bottles. Yet....

:lticaptd:

Okay, I actually just counted (that's what spreadsheets are for, right). I have 98. Mind you, a couple of them are really little, and came with a J Herbin glass pen a friend was giving away, and I don't actually know if those are FP safe.... And the four KWZI bottles on order are just that. On order. As in, not yet actually in my possession (and since they're not yet paid for, not technically mine yet, either).

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.... B)

Thanks for the perspective, Ruth! I was thinking I was far beyond the reasonable limit, and there you are in the same league as me. Phheww!

I have 77 inks (including a few samples). I thought I was crazy and out of control... Apparently not, yet

I predict that it won't be long before you're rounding 100! Splendid!

:o I'm pretty sure you said you had 85ish in your letter. Have you done that much shopping already?

It was a rough estimate. When I took the time to count them, it was a sobering experience... :)

Another inky portrait of the mighty fountain pen. One of my favorites in green stripes, the intrepid Pelikan 100:

And pointilized (in Photoshop) for your amusement:

Well, this is my theme song ...

I'll start with Baystate Blue, but I don't know when to stop.

Yes --at least that's what the bottle says. I *may* have added some other ingredients over the years (I've had these Levenger inks for a really long time!), but I couldn't swear. It serves as my bright green if ever I need one... ;)
