Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Tessy: I'll send Dark Orchid, and a couple of other similar inks. Do you already have PR Arabian Rose? Or Noodler's Ottoman Rose? Or deA Lilac?

If not, I can send those as well. Let me know!

Amber, I will be sending you some co-razy reviews soon! I have several done already, they just need to be stuffed in an envelope!

I just had to share this one because I love it so much!!!

Platinum Mix-Free Silky Purple with my (just arrived today!) Nemosine Singularity Magenta .6 stub and my trusted old Ahab in King Phillip Purple with a Goulet 1.5 stub on white Tomoe River.

I want to buy this ink. I shouldn't. I have so many inks in a similar range. But.I.Want.This.Ink.So.Badly.

Did I mention it sheens?!!!

noodler's saguaro wine is quite similar to silky purple, i think. dries slower and no sheen though.

I think I might still have remnants of a sample of Saguaro Wine somewhere...If I remember correctly, I thought it was nearly identical to Cactus Fruit Eel (which I have a bottle of). CFE is definitely darker and brighter than Silky Purple imo. All great colors though! :)

Grape and I had a fight - grape won. So I don't play with grape anymore.

A valid point. As Marlon Brando might have said (if he were an FPN member) "It's a condendah. It don't belong in Palookaville"

For some inexplicable reason, when I read "Palookaville" it registered as "Pazookie."

I think I need to go bake cookies now and put some ice cream on top...

i always thought that cactus fruit eel IS saguaro wine, just with eel qualities. and yes, silky purple is lighter and less red (and more dry?), but still close :).

Not sure if this ink fits in the category, but what they hay! Many thanks to TRSS for sharing a couple of inks with me!

I tried to balance the color, but it was tough. If I send it to someone else, I wonder if she/he can get a truer color on this...

I think it fits the category. I recently included Diamine Grape in an ink sampling activity at my office, and virtually everyone assumed it was a black ink. Right now I am writing with Scabiosa on various papers, discovering that in some cases one can see the purple undertones, in others not.

As usual, your artwork is beautiful.
