Inky T O D - Color Swatches - Violet - Purple - Please Post Your Pictures And Tell Us Your Thoughts

Does anyone know if the ink in the Pilot Mixable cartridges is the same as the Pilot Mixable (previously called "Mix Free") ink bottles? I've been assuming it is but I don't have any cartridges to do a direct comparison.

 

Amberlea's Violet cartridge in post #233 looks very similar to Silky Purple. And maybe the pink that Lgsoltek is using might match the bottled Cyclamen Pink?

Also, I think Platinum Silky Purple is much more pink - very similar to Monteverde Purple. From the pics I have seen the Pilot Parallel purple cartridge is more of a true vibrant purple/violet color. Just my two cents!

I think it's hard to get. I assume you have to get it in person in Japan.

However, I can send you a sample when I have some empty vials.

Like it. Although not as dark as I would imaged from the name. This has more of a "cobalt" or "periwinkle" look to it —at to my eye. But still delightful!

Darn, it's frustrating when you see these Sailor inks that are unavailable. The Kyo-iro looks really nice. Sailor obviously has every right to make limited editions and drive us all crazy, so I usually try to avoid looking.

It's a lot more Purple, than that, but I think the flow may be off.

This ink is aptly named. My Ahab has never recovered from the fill of grape, but I still think it's a beautiful color.
