That's a great ink.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I'm liking it so far.

Similar to the Robert Oster Copper, is richer red-brown (my FAVORITE ink color, these days!):

Scribes' Ink "Dutch Treat" [brown Series] Chocolate (scented).

I like this ink a lot.

The color is fairly saturated, but not too much, so there is some really nice shading with a broad-nibbed pen.

The scent is subtle; not overpowering, and it really does have a Dutch cocoa aroma.

The ink is quite wet, but I have not had any feather issues. To be honest, I've only used it on good papers (Canson Vellum as you see in the photo, Tomoe River, and Kobe notebook paper), and on those kinds of papers, this ink is simply beautiful.

So for me, this is a WINNER. :D

Thanks for the encouragement. I'll have to play a bit more with it, and see if Cupid's arrow strikes. ;)

I think what draws me in is both the richness of the dark tones and the shading; a huge color range. And your art makes everything better anyway.

I dug out the rest.

(This time with thoughts)

DIAMINE BURNT UMBER - Really quite nice actually. Very similar to Terracotta only a little more saturated and slightly pinker.

http://www.taskyprianou.com/fpn_diamine_golden_brown_swatch.jpg

DIAMINE GOLDEN BROWN - Another ink swap and another lovely shading ink. Not sure I'd buy a bottle though, not really my colour.

DIAMINE ANCIENT COPPER - Stunning ink, beautiful shading, colour and properties. Lived in my VAC 700 for around a year. (Terracotta forced it out  )

SAILOR MARUZEN ATHENA SEPIA - A sample kindly sent to me and a terrific ink. (Sailor always produce the goods) Similar to Waterman's Havanna Brown but less saturated and less red.

The Ancient Copper has me.

The little punched swatch cards entice me too.

Beautiful! That Golden Brown and Ambre de Birmanie are wonderful!

It's interesting because the Ambre looks so yellow on Goulet Pens, with none of the depth or shading we see here. So glad to have these to look at and not just the swabs at the stores.

Lapis and I both confessed to falling in love with Paco Rabanne because of the great ads. To this day, this is an ad I remember and think of as sexy. (Oh, and Grey Flannel).

And yes, some of those bottles do work well for ink.

Oh I remember those ........ yes I do.

So true. I looked at new content Desk Sets. Before I knew it, I found one I liked on eBay and bought it. Didn't even start out wanting a desk set. Another thread was about Iroshizuku Kosumosu. I never wanted a pink ink, but it was called Cosmos. Cosmos were there in my planter. Had to have it. Aaugh!

Slant desks, pen cases, repair kits. I keep buying ink samples based on these color threads. Ever so dangerous! At least I'm only in it for the samples right now. I know I'll ramp up soon enough into a full blown addict.

Now, if only we knew what color Paco Rabanne is. Would it be the color of the perfume or the room or?

Indeed! There are a couple of the inks that I would certainly like to get a full-sized bottle of. Olive Branch is one of them:

Your stationary ..... did you design it yourself?

Both are wonderful. Sadly now though, only the Ancient Copper is available. The Mnemosyne word cards have been discontinued : (

Goodness, no. I wish. Actually, it's from one of those Dover Art/Coloring books from the 1980s that had Art Nouveau bookplates and graphic design. I scanned the designs I liked, printed them out on Tomoe River paper, and voilà. Magic. ;)

Glad you liked it...

I always associate Paco Rabanne with the olive green of the bottle, just as the formerly ubiquitous Polo must be a dark teal. Right?

Ancient Copper is certainly one of the all-time great inks. So many good things about it...

I shall only mourn the word cards very briefly. And rejoice at the increased budget for Ancient Copper.

Now you have given me all sorts of ideas! I had no idea that Tomoe River might be printable ..... Are you using full sized sheets in the printer? Not sure if the smaller sheets I use would feed properly.

You could indeed start a bespoke ink and paper shoppe. Your taste is delightful.
