I saw Momiji in the CRV book and definitely thought it was too pink for me. I still haven't tried out my bottle of Irori, but it looks like it may be my perfect bright red.

I'm going to try Iori soon. I love Momiji, but it's pink (except for those few times when it appears red).

I was really surprised! Give it a shot and see how you like it!

Momiji is definitely too pink for me. I really like Irori--not too pink, not too orange.

Noodlers' FPN-Exclusive Voltaire Candide Vermillion.

Not sure what to think about this ink yet. It's a pinkish red, somewhere between strawberry and wine in hue. Flow is a little less than some other inks I've tried recently, but this is not a dry ink.

Sailor Irori. I love this ink. It's a bright cherry red that makes my previous favorite, Waterman (Audacious) Red, look dull by comparison. It's also my favorite of the Sailor inks I have tried (Waka-Uguisu, Kin-Mokusei, and Yuki-Akari).

Without question, my newest favorite bright red. Love this ink —especially its golden sheen!

Oops you have created a monster in me, would you show us Candide next to Irori?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

VCV is significantly more purple than Irori. What the scanner isn't capturing is the difference between bright and dark; in real life VCV is a darker hue than Irori. Tomoe River.

The phone captures the difference in hue and brightness better. Makes me wonder why I'm using the scanner.

I have both inks, and your phone image is more true to life —including the sheen on Irori. Irori is unquestionably the most spectacular red I've seen in a long time. Phenomenal!
