Looks GREAT!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

And the one that grabs my attention most, "Winter Glow" (sample written with dip pen with C-4 nib on Canson Vellum)

I am in the process of replacing my Noodler's inks with inks that are similar, but which will actually DRY.

I love the Diamine Matador. It is a great red (just ever so slightly on the orange side, NOT the pink or violet side), and it dries nicely.

I like the Thornton's Red, nice and orangey. And the price is right. Now if I just didn't already have more red ink than I'll possibly use in a lifetime.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

You allow that to interfere with ink purchases?

Well, Apache Sunset isn't red, for sure. Or is it a bit?

Wow. There are some really magnificent reds in this thread! And I've learned something that I only suspected, previously: I don't care very much for "pinky-reds", and I definitely don't like reds with a lot of blue in them. I like kick-you-in-the-teeth VIBRANT reds and red-oranges. If they sheen/sparkle and/or shade, more the better. I'm glad I already own some of these, and I now have about a dozen more reds to put on my wish list. A thoroughly enjoyable, eye-seering thread :-).
