Embarrassing Silicone Grease Question

Hi all,

About a month ago, I placed an order for 4 bottles of this silicone grease (http://www.dx.com/p/nextorch-silicone-grease-for-flashlight-maintenance-47418#.VHsZqdKUd3o) which arrived today. I discovered to my discomfiture today, though, that there are many varieties of silicone grease, depending on the application, and am left wondering if I've bought something that's unsuitable for application on eyedropper FPs.

Could someone check the link and the specs of the grease and advise me if it's okay to use it? If not, a link to any other type of silicone grease would be appreciated. Since I haven't yet been able to find SG in the UAE, I guess I'll have to rely on this site for my purchase.

Thanks in advance

I read on fasttech (.com) (another site for extremely cheap stuff from China). I say, I read there, in the review section for this very product, that one person uses it for eyedroppers and that it works.

But that's all that I know.

If it works well, i'll probably pick some up as well.

I'm not affiliated with fasttech, but i like their service, they've never left me hanging.

Looks like you should be ok. I've used the silicon grease intended for my 18650 based flashlights to do an eyedropper conversion on a Preppy and it is working fine.

If it is intended for O-rings, then it is likely fine. The concern would be for an impure formulation that could attack and degrade plastics but if its made for O-rings, it would seem safe for use.
