Pink ink comparison

Taki,

Sorry, I can't help myself:

This one, I think, is called a Yink.
He likes to wink,
he likes to drink.

He likes to drink, and drink, and drink.
The thing he likes to drink is ink.
The ink he likes to drink is pink.
He likes to wink and drink pink ink.

SO...
if you have a lot of ink,
then you should get
a Yink, I think.

all this talk of pink ink - I had too. . . wink.gif

Great comparison of ink colors. I especially like it with the water-resistance test.

thanks so much for this post. I love when people compare multiple inks of a particular color, especially the less-popular inks. The comparisons are incredibly useful for intuiting what the colors REALLY are (esp thanks for including Florida Blue as a benchmark!)

Ditto. I really appreciated seeing the comparison chart. Nice handwriting, too.

I've been enjoying using Diamine Scarlet and Crimson lately...one of these days I might try doing a comparison, too, but I'm still a bit awed (read intimidated) at how Taki and others do such a splendid job...

of course the georgia peach remains after water splashes on it,

I know I wrote that over a year ago, but I just wanted to clarify (since the edit function has long expired!) that I was confusing Georgia Peach with Swisher's Naval Orange (Eternal), which I also confuse sometimes with Swisher's Apricot Orange (quick-dry). (ALL THESE DELICIOUS FRUITS!)

So the "of course" was in error, my bad. Nevertheless, thanks to Taki's appreciable effort, we see that the Georgia Peach (which is from the "electric color" highlighter series, I believe) is strongly (but not completely) water resistant.

I recently saw Cerise in person and was astounded by it. It was as bright as the sample of Cape Cod Cranberry that I saw; very similar in hue too, but obviously with much better operability.

Would love to see a review of:

Georgia Peach

Naval Orange

Apricot Orange

Ann Finley has written a very persuasive review of Georgia Peach.

Thank you very much for your review. It's interesting to see the photo next to the scan. What a lovely color palette this is.

May you have pens you enjoy, with plenty of paper and ink. :)

Please use only my FPN name "Gran" in your posts. Thanks very much!

It's been a while but I was hunting for pink comparisons so wanted to say Thank you and give the post a bump so it's not so hard to find!

I'm tempted to get Bouquet d'Antan for use in a wide-nibbed pen after seeing the ink comparison. Thanks for this!
