I use aluminum foil, for cleaning and also fold it once or twice for increasing ink flow.

The aluminum foil sounds good but I'd wind up crumbling it. I'm gonna throw my gap gauge in the trash and start using

Beanbags suggestion. " Notebook paper ".

I actually discovered a technique i have been using on my fountain pens. Use plastic sticky notes (clear ones are preferable). They cleaned my Metropolitain really easily. Use the thinnest ones possible. They can really be found at any average big box location or even a dollar store. JUST DON'T USE THE STICKY SIDE. for further inquiry please ask!
