Fliederrosa (Lilac Rose) - Standardgraph

Standardgraph Zeichentechnik GmbH is german manufacturer of technical drawing instruments, rulers and pencil sharpeners. They also have inks. They manufacture and distribute their own calligraphy products and products from the company Rubinato. I believe Standardgraph inks are made in Germany by Standardgraph.

They offer palette of 24 colors. I'm going to try all of them and review them. It'll take time but I'll do it :) My ambition is to present inks of less known companies as my input here. Of course I stay open to all inks and review bnis and small names. However I must confess I have some sort of weakness for smaller companies and less known brands.

Please - remember that in most of my reviews I use very wet pens. Kaweco Sport turned to eyedropper always leaves line that is saturated. If you're notorious fine nib user you may be disappointed by some of inks that appear rich in color in my reviews. They are but only in broad, wet nibs that I use use on everyday basis. I don't really like fine nibs so I almost never use them to review inks.

Fliederrosa is delicate violet. Not my color but if you like subtle tones you may consider trying this one.

Wow -- what a great color. I don't think I have anything close to it.

Oh no -- *more* ink to buy (my husband despairs...).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I have this, and like it very much. A few of these Standardgraph inks need a wet nib to look their best, and this is one of them.

Thank you for the wonderful review.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

  • 2 years later...

I've been looking for this exact shade of pink/mauve. The other pinks tend to be too brassy, and this is more soothing to the eye.
