Lovely pen. The silver is nicely understated. I love the fact that it looks so simple, just tortoise, very lovely tortoise, very translucent, wonderful amber.... but you think that's all there is to the pen. Then when you uncap it, surprise! surprise! there's the red section too, the silver and ruthenium, an understated but very nice contrast. Frankly I would far rather have this red-and-tortoise than the Pelikan m101 red tortoise. You must be very pleased with it.

I agree with AMK who said it's more beautiful than the red and tortoise Pelikan.

I am currently in Renee's queue waiting on a Bard. You just reinforced my decision to pick Scriptorium for my custom pen (actually didn't need reinforcement...she's the best). I know you will have an endless amount of pleasure with your new treasure.
