But they are both so hard to find.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

So, here are two inks that in person look similar. In the scans you can see the difference.

Here are two inks that I find hard to pick, either by eye or by scanner --

fpn_1456566955__doppelganger1.jpeg

The paper is some Tomoe River that I printed lines on and formed into an A5 booklet.

The pen on the left is my Kaigelu 316 with a somewhat wettish Jinhao nib hand ground to a stub.

On the right is my Pilot Century 3776 Bourgogne with a Medium nib.

I forgot to change pens when I started the right hand side. See if you can tell where I changed pens.

PS, F E Coconut Crab Blue is on the left, Noodler's Liberty's Elysium on the right.

Was hard to held the notepad in one hand (selecting those pages) and taken the pic with the other hand. I will assure you, they look almost identical. :D :D

Oo la laa . . .

Sailor is morally obliged to reintroduce Rikyu-cha.

Agreed.

My Rikyu-cha (both original & re-release) dries lighter than my Cigar (but not by very much) and the sheen is slightly different. They are very close though.

My recent Irori looks more orangey than yours. And it has stained the feed on one of my partner's Pelikan pens. A distinct red all over the feed, and that's after it's been soaked in ammonia mix & scrubbed. It didn't stain the ink window though.

First experience of a Sailor ink staining like that. Will have to break out the Do-you........
