Halloween, we are sharing a brain... I love those blue inks.

As you might already suspect, I've been thinking exactly the same thing! Separated at birth? ;)

Time for Iroshizuku Blues swabs and Kon-peki action shots :)

Disclaimer: please don't overly criticize my Kanji lettering practice; I'm just learning :)

Paper used: LIFE Noble Note (graph) and Tomoe River (plain)

No matter how much I explore, Kon-peki remains one of my all time favorite blues. However, since Amberlea introduced me to Sailor Yama-dori, I find myself going between Kon-peki, Yama-dori, Tsuki-yo and Montblanc Balzac.

I think I also introduced you to Balzac. :)

Great stuff here, thank you. Be sure to look at Ig's suggestion for a Tardis Blue.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

If someone wants a TARDIS blue, I recommend this:

Yes, I'm getting some now as I watch BBC

I love the Balzac you gave me; it's better than Ama-Iro and really reminds me of MBs original Turquoise, but even more saturated!

I do like the Pelikan Edelstein inks, and Topaz works really well for me.

Amber, every image in every one of the first 30 posts in this thread, except for the ghost in the first post, is failing to load for me. Would you check to see if you've moved them to a different directory on your web server? When I copy the image URLs into my browser address bar, I get

Wonderful. As a lifelong language learner (and professor), I am glad to see your skills. Keep at it!

Here are the blues I have currently at the homestead. My attempt at organization was only partially successful. Not a fan of blue-black or dark blues, so mine are mostly bright medium and cyan.

This is great; I never realized how much shading Empyrean has! And many thanks for the kind Kanji encouragement :)

Here's a dark blue/blue-black I made with Chesterfield Capri and Blackstone Black Balled. I call it Why So Blue? Black. I think it looks better on paper - what do you think?

Nice! Did you do a Q-tip wash with water or ink, or did you use a brush?

For Christmas I received one of those water brush pens.... and uh... I sort of went crazy. I did this to 135 of my ink cards.

135? How many do you send total? :yikes: I tried to do a few washes and ended up losing most of the ink to a paper towel.

This brush is awesome. I didn't lose any cards.

Favourite accessory. I love them, glad you do too. They can awaken magic in some inks but destroy giants at the same time . . .

You're right. This is a gorgeous colour. It won't be readily available though will it? Bit like eating a Dodo's egg, so sad . . . :(
