Whoa, that looks dark for Lamy Blue, which is often (unfavorably!) compared to ballpoint ink (though I like it).

I like the color in your photo, too.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Huh.  I think of it is pretty dusky relative to the blues I'm usually partial to.  It has that old-fashioned/faded-over-time look to it, but I do tend to like very saturated colors.  I think in one of my fine Japanese nibs it would be pretty light.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I think you gave me a sample of this one! I think it's funny that your full page of blues doesn't have any of the ones I use regularly!  I have one pen inked with Shigure at the moment, but otherwise I have all different blues!  I don't think I have enough pens to flush out your chart, though.

And I hope you're just being metaphorical...

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

I've noticed some of my earlier inks had disappeared.  Last night I did a few new ones.  Rhodia Ice, lined.  Just swabs 'n' scribbles. 'Scuse the bad writing; glass dip pens are tough to control.

Some of these bottles were nearly empty.  How did THAT happen?  😳

The amount of ink in a bottle is inversely proportional to how much you like that ink. ;)

Sooo much eye candy in this thread. Royal and cobalt blues are my jam. I will dip pen all my blues tonight and add on.

Here's another!

The first Montblanc sample is an unknown, from the old-style shoe.  Either someone gave it to me, or I got it off fleabay.

Okay....I learned that wrangling a toothpick for scribbles is even more difficult than using glass dip pens.

All done on Rhodia Ice.  Monteverde, Chesterfield, and De Atramentis inks.   I forgot to label half of them, and both the Chesterfield Teal and De Atramentis U. S. Constitution look more blue-black than anything else.

These also appear considerably darker than in real life.  😕

Thanks for the image.  I sort of like the ink, but I have sooo many blue blacks I seldom use it.

Thank you for sharing, this was one of the inks I tried early on. Is a nice performer, but left me cold.
