Inky T O D - Color Swatches - Blue - Please Post Your Pictures And Tell Us Your Thoughts

It's really quite nice. It flows well and has had no start up issues. I see shading and and I can highly recommend it if you are in Oz since the price with shipping makes this a steal. Much to my surprise, my favorite, so far, is Barbossa Grape.

Oh, m'lady, you have been watching too many "Pirates of the Caribbean" films.

Barbossa is the pirate (played by an Aussie) and Barossa is the wine grape.

And here is last year's Barossa Wine Show winners.

You should be able to get a couple at a good local vintner to compare with the ink.

I'm rather attracted to the one called '"The Beast" Shiraz' just because of the name.

Probably best suited to your Cattleman's Cutlet rather than your delicate veal...

LOL! I am certain, knowing the fine tastes of our amberleadavis, that she just inadvertently included the errant "b" in her notation. And yes, Oz makes stunning Shiraz. I haven't tried "The Beast", but it is on my list.

Sorry about the extra B. I like the pirate too!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Curiously, in another post, you handwrite it Barossa, but type it Barbossa. Some would say you just want two bob each way.*

*Extra brownie points for the first non-Aussie** to explain that one.

**Kiwis count as Aussies...

Noodler's FPN Exclusive - Starry Night Blue

Noodler's - Midnight Blue

Chesterfield - Antique Yankee

First two lean cooler in the spectrum, the last is slightly warmer which makes sense as I have seen it sheen red on some papers.

Oh, interesting, thank you! I would have expected Midnight to be more purple than the green.

By itself Midnight Blue appears true blue until you put it next to something else, so that surprised me a bit too! It's two or three steps lighter than Starry Night. I'll do writing samples eventually
