OOOOO thank you. I love Manhattan blue.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I like it, too. It's quite reliable and not too finicky, in my experience. I wonder how close it is to the Penman Sapphire.

It's not close to PPS, but check out the link in my thread.

Extremely handsome! I am curious if any of the more science-y people out there know why it seems that so many of the BLUE inks have such noticeable sheen. Is it a question of the pigments they use to get a rich blue color? If you think of it, the list of blue inks with strong sheen is really extensive: listing only the inks I happen to have right now, Akkerman Shocking Blue, Sailor Souten, Private Reserve DC Supershow Blue and Naples Blue, de Atramentis Steel Blue and Hyacinth, etc., etc.

Is there a good explanation for non-chemists for the phenomenon? :)

I thought it was disappointingly dull when I first got it, but it's really grown on me and I like it a lot now. :)

Gorgeous! (The ink and the handwriting both.)

I love this ink.

I don't think I would have bought it without your review! :) I usually don't like blues, but it looked so good in your pictures. :D

Thank you. :) I think it really shines in a wide, wet nib where there's opportunity for shading. It's a bit wasted in my Novum. :P

Ocean bears a passing resemblance to PPS.

Waterman Mysterious Blue, not a particularly interesting ink, I'm not sure why mine appears so light?

Good to know, thanks. :) I was beginning to wonder whether I might have gotten the only dry Pelikan in existence. :P I don't have the Blue Hour Twilight Blue because I remember reading here that it was identical (or almost) to the Waterman.

Is Waterman Mysterious Blue also called Blue-Black?

I was under the impression (from reading this forum) that it was the old Blue Black renamed? But this is the first and only Waterman ink I have.

That's what I had in mind...

Any suggestions for a wet, permanent professional BLUE. I have been using Pilot Blue-Black and Pelikan Blue-Black but they are too dry
