Great images! I hadn't realized that Myrrh and Barrier Reef were so similar!

WOW, thank you, Bio!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

And now, a new ink: STEEL BLUE from de Atramentis. Many have praised it, so I ordered a bottle. Very nice.

The card for this ink that goes in my file box (arranged by color and hue):

And now, the context for the ink. Its closest neighbors are Naples Blue and the mysterious Simpson's powdered Turquoise ink:

Blue delights today!

Still looking for the Blue (on the plains of Abraham).

I suspect whoever named this ink had their welding goggles on at the time...

Actually, it probably shows some blue if used in a dryish, wide pen. If I click on it so I get the full size image, I can see some dots of blue. No I don't, it's an artefact from the scanner.

Perhaps it needs to be renamed Black with a hint of Blue upon the Plains of Abraham.

dcwaites, this ink is what I call "a changeling".

Paper makes a massive difference, pens too.

I forgot about it in my Conklin and when I wrote with it a week or so later, a dark turquoise came out and stayed that way. Hmmmm.

I really like it's unpredictability.

And I had forgotten that ASA Blue is in my collection. As is WE Kensington Blue.

I also have pair of pens, one loaded with pre-release, for testing only, Sydney Harbour Blue, and the other with Final Release SHB.

Will have to do some samples and scans.

Thank you FIF.

David, how could you forget about one of your popular creations?

Tas and David, the BUPA appears to be more blue for everyone else, I had a really wet pen.

OK, this is what happens if you decide to make Play-Doh with a ½ teaspoon of Noodler's Turquoise American Eel ink....

So tell me, do you like this color? It just doesn't look like any blue I've ever seen, unless it was hidden under a coating of blackness... ;)

You need to see it in Tas' pen, it is blue for him. I had a sample and I used it in a really wet pen.
